 Frequent Asked Questions

 

 If you find abnormal operation in EasyTV Box please check the following items:

 • Check the power source from your TV

 • Check the power source from EasyTV Box

 • Check the HDMI cable or AV Cable connections

 

 Online Movie Unstable:

 • Check the Ethernet connection and the network status of your router

 • Check the network status of EasyTV Box

 

 If EasyTV Box hangs in operation:

 Please switch off the EasyTV Box or unplug the Power to restart the box.

 

 Resolution Setting Problem - Wrong selection on output mode:

 

 Q. My television is as HDMI out but I have selected the resolution output mode that is higher than the TV can support (e.g. my television can only support 720p resolution as highest, but I have chosen 1080p in output mode). How can I reset output mode afterwards?

 A. The TV will display black screen. You have to restart the EasyTV Box. Then press “Reset” button and switch on EasyTV Box at the time. Press “factory reset” to get the default setting from the factory. And choose “Reboot System”. Please note all the settings in the EasyTV box including wireless network setting, apps download will be removed after factory reset. You may have to reset all the things and download relevant apps in the TV Store.

 

 Q. My television is as HDMI out but I have wrongly pressed the “AV” button on the remote. How can I reset output mode afterwards?

 A. You have to unplug the power and restart the EasyTV Box.

 

 Q. My television is as HDMI out but I have wrongly selected AV (CVBS out). How can I reset output mode afterwards?

 A. The TV will display black screen. If you have an AV Cable at home, you may make use of the cable to connect EasyTV Box to the TV. Then select AV from the input source and set it back HDMI out. If you cannot solve the problem in the above way, you have to switch off the box. Press the reset button at the back of the box and switch it on at the same time, you will enter to “Factory Reset” mode. Select “Factory Reset” and then “Reboot System Now” to restart the unit.

 *After factory reset, all the applications downloaded and setting memory will be lost.

 

 Q. My television is as AV (CVBS) out but I have selected the HDMI output mode (i.e. 480p/480i/720p/720i/1080p/1080i), How can I reset output mode afterwards?

 A.You have to restart the EasyTV Box. Once the light turns off, press “AV” button to change to AV mode. You will need to go to “Setting” Page to select the normal output mode to operate the box. If you cannot solve the problem in the above way, you have to switch off the box. Press the reset button at the back of the box and switch it on at the same time, you will enter to “Factory Reset” mode. Select “Factory Reset” and then “Reboot System Now” to restart the unit.

 *After factory reset, all the applications downloaded and setting memory will be lost.

Here is the necessary initial setting for the EasyTV Box for new user, Please kindly to read and follow the instruction below:

 

Initial Setting for EasyTV Box

 “GO Keyboard”

Take only 3 steps to set up “GO Keyboard” for Chinese and English input, Select Setting --> “GO Keyboard” in Keyboard Setting Press "OK" button on the remote in any input required place until there is a pop up window. Click “GO Keyboard” in Input Method. After “GO Keyboard” introduction, select the input method you would like to choose.

After installation, select input language and click OK.

 

One Click Installation of Apps

Once installed “GO Keyboard”, you may register an account in “TV store” and start one click installation of apps in EasyTV Box.

After logging into TV Store, press "Menu" button on the remote and select Refresh on TV and confirm the installation or update of apps in TV Store.

The apps will then be auto installed and you may then enjoy more fun from EasyTV Box.

 

EasyTV Remote Apps

You may use your mobile devices (e.g. smartphone or tablet) to search and download "EasyTV Remote Apps" from Google Play.

Before using EasyTV Remote Apps, you have to connect your IP address of the mobile device with that of EasyTV Box.

Once you open the EasyTV Remote apps, it will auto search the network location of EasyTV Box and then connect for use.

 

If you have more than one EasyTV Box, you have to check its IP address for pairing:

Click "Network Setting" in the main interface and then "WiFi Setting". Select your connected WiFi network and your will be display your EasyTV network location will be displayed in “IP Address”.

Open the EasyTV Remote Apps and select the same IP address for connection.

Remark: The function of hand writing will be available for Android default input method.

 

Browser Setting

Select "Browser" in the main interface and select “Accept” or “Next” to complete the setting according to the steps required.

 

Caution!

HDMI users must not press the "AV" button on the AirMouse which may cause the change of resolution output of EasyTV Box and TV display of black screen.

The light of loading status will turn on. Once it turns off, press "AV" button on the remote. It will then return to 720p of the output and you may adjust the suitable output mode of your TV afterwards.
